Students are entitled to bus transport assistance if their permanent residential address is within Merriang's designated transport area (DTA).
Transport networks do not extend beyond the designated transport area so students residing in other areas will need to arrange independent travel if they wish to attend a specific school. The bus company, contracted by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, is Mees Bus Lines. Students are supervised at all times whilst travelling on the bus.
